2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl 46

Indianapolis will be the home to Super Bowl XLVI. The 46th Super Bowl will be held on February 5, 2012 at Lucas Oil Stadium, home to the Indianapolis Colts. This will be the first time the game will be played in Indiana and also the first time in 30 years back to back Super Bowls will be played in indoor stadiums. The game will be shown on the NBC network with the announcers still undetermined. The Indianapolis Super Bowl is somewhat in jeopardy currently. A possible lockout is in place for the 2011-2012 NFL Season. If the lockout does take place, Super Bowl 46 could be canceled. The citizens of Indianapolis and fans all over the world are hoping an agreement can be reached prior to that drastic action.

Indianapolis is transforming the downtown area in preparation of hosting the 2012 Super Bowl. Renovations are being made to make the entire downtown area reachable by indoor tunnels throughout the city. Decorations and other atmospheric improvements are also being made. New hotels and parking are also being added in preparation for the masses of people to roam the streets in downtown Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Downtown Indianapolis will be transformed into a great place for all the visitors all around the world. The area will offer many varieties of entertainment for families, as well as a great night life scene.
Super Bowl XLVI will be a great chance for people to come get familiar with the wonderful downtown of Indianapolis. Fans of the competing teams will be impressed with the pageantry Indianapolis has planned for the 2012 Super Bowl. Plans are being made to hold all the A-list parties, maintain traffic issues, and overcome the possibility of cold weather. The skywalks will be extremely beneficial in connecting hotels with Circle Centre Mall and other entertainment options. The downtown area has many other things to do to kill time. The NCAA Headquarters is located in Indianapolis, as well as many other museums. The Indianapolis Art Museum is a great way to spend an afternoon in February. The Eitlejorg Museum is also host to some great exhibits. The Children’s Museum will also be a huge hit among the families traveling to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl. Once the sun goes down, Indianapolis has a great collection of bars and night clubs together in a close area. Fans around the world can really start getting excited as Super Bowl XLVI nears.

Super Bowl 2012 Location is on Indianapolis

Congratulations to Super Bowl 2011 winner, the Greenbay Packers. They defeated Pittsburgh Steelers at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium held last February 6, 2011 in Arlington, Texas.

Black Eyed Peas performed in the Half Time Show while Christina Aguilera sang the opening National Anthem that became controversial since she sang the wrong lyrics of the song.

With this victory, Green Bay Packers got their fourth Super Bowl title. If you can remember, the Packers won the first two Super Bowls with Vince Lombardi coaching Bart Starr, and they claimed another with Brett Favre in January 1997.


All Super Bowl fans look forward to the upcoming Super Bowl 2012 next year to be held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. This would be the first time that the Super Bowl is held in Indianapolis. Super Bowl 2012 date would be on February 6, 2012.

If this year's Super Bowl 2011 was televised by FOX, next year's Super Bowl 2012 will be televised by NBC. While it is too early to ask for now, which among the NFL teams do you think will compete for next year's Super Bowl 2012?

Oh well, I admit I haven't updated this blog as often as I promised to myself, but hey, I updated it today! My last update was a few weeks ago when the Elite 8 was revealed. I didn't post any updates about the Final 4 and the battle for the NFC and AFC championship. Nevertheless, I still updated this humble mini blog.

There are only 3 days left before the big day stars! The most awaited day to all football fans and Super Bowl fans! Last month's game was pretty thrilling. Everyone was cheering for the New England Patriots, but when they were defeated by the New York Jets, the cheer of the crowd transfered to the Jets.
Super Bowl 2012 is still almost 1 year from now yet the official logo was already unveiled. The Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee unveiled the official Super Bowl 2012 logo in a short video posted on their website.



Super Bowl 2012's official logo features an image of the Lombardi Trophy, the words 'Super Bowl XLVI' referring to the roman numeral of "Super Bowl 46" and an image of the exterior of Lucas Oil Stadium where Super Bowl 2012 will be held next year, February 5, 2012.
